GIVE HOPE - GIVE LOCAL

As our nation faces new challenges, it’s never been a better or more important time to give locally. Your gift doesn’t just uplift one beneficiary — it touches your entire community.

The Renton Community Foundation offers a highly personal approach to giving. We offer simple, flexible, and meaningful ways to give — such as endowments and pooling investments — through which your gift can yield significant, lasting support to the charities you admire and the community you love.

With our help, you can:

  • Give now through one of our existing funds. Give later as part of your estate plan.
  • Create a fund and name it after someone you love, or create a family legacy.
  • Eliminate the need to set up a private foundation.
  • Choose which assets to donate.
  • Develop a giving strategy that meets your particular needs.
  • Support the causes and nonprofits you care about most.
  • Benefit from available tax breaks under IRS regulations and Washington State tax code.

Give us a call to chat about your goals and objectives. We’d be happy to help.

WE MAKE GIVING EASY

Are you passionate about helping others? Do you want to make a positive change in your community?

The Renton Community Foundation is a group of like-minded donors working together to uplift people in need, support seniors and the disabled, assist struggling students, inspire communities through the arts, preserve history, and so much more.

Whether it’s through a small cash gift, by establishing your own fund or by planning a gift through your will or estate, your desire to make a difference through giving is what fuels our community.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Renton Community Foundation is a regional leader in charitable giving. We are proven investment managers, analysts, legal professionals, and senior-level staff working with an engaged board of directors in stewardship of $10 million in assets and more than 50 individual charitable funds.

Unlike commercial charitable funds, RCF operates at the center of the philanthropic community as we work to anticipate and resolve priority issues facing the area. We can answer questions, introduce donors to the organizations they hope to support, and research critical information.

Our staff is closely connected to the community, and our board of directors is comprised of respected community leaders, such as city government officials, educational leaders, business owners, and philanthropists.

Together, we ensure that funds are always secure and available when they’re needed most.

10 REASONS TO CHOOSE RCF

With all the lives we’ve touched, there are thousands of reasons to choose RCF. Here are just a few of them to consider.

  • We know the Puget Sound area.
  • RCF can make charitable grants anywhere in the country.
  • Your charitable goals come first, whatever they may be.
  • No two donors are alike, so we pride ourselves on personalized service.
  • We have developed close partnerships with area businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders
  • We have strong giving ‘narratives’ that encourage others to join us.
  • Our partnership with US Bank Charitable Services Group is strong and can help make the most of your gift.
  • Education is important, and we provide free educational opportunities for fund-holders and local nonprofits.
  • We organize networking opportunities to bring fund-holders together with each other and with local nonprofits.
  • We work hard to bring new people to the table so that more money is available to change lives.

Your goal is always our goal. Please give us a call for a no-obligation conversation about how RCF can help you achieve your philanthropic dreams.

DONOR'S BILL OF RIGHTS

Philanthropy is based on an individual’s desire to make a difference in their community and in the world. Whether the donation is large or small, the act of giving is completely voluntary and should be recognized.

With each generous donation, we take it upon ourselves to give you the confidence in the Renton Community Foundation that you deserve. To do this, we have established a “bill of rights” for donors like you, under which you have certain inalienable rights.

As a donor with the Renton Community Foundation, you have the right to:

  • Specify the fund or project that your donation will benefit.
  • Expect that your gift will be used in the manner you intended.
  • Assurance that RCF complies with federal, state, and municipal laws.
  • Receive a timely and courteous acknowledgment of your gift.
  • Access RCF staff for answers to questions ― in person or via phone.
  • Obtain a copy of the organization's most recent audited financial statements.
  • Request a list of governing board members providing oversight to the organization's mission.
  • Know that all information provided by the Foundation is truthful and accurate.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Your goal is our goal.
