WELCOME TO THE RENTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Renton Community Foundation was established in 1999 with just two funds and $257,000. Today, RCF serves the greater Renton area (and beyond) with over $3.7 million and 40 individual funds, benefiting everything from health care, to education, to youth and families, to the arts. At RCF, our goal is to connect donors to the causes they care about most, while partnering with local charitable organizations to increase efficiencies and strengthen their ability to deliver critical services.
HOW YOUR COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Community foundations are 501 C 3, non-profit organizations comprised of a group of individuals, named funds established by donors and/or other non-profit entities to benefit a variety of charitable causes. Funds are pooled and managed by professional investment advisors for greater return, then granted back to the community to meet priority needs. Community foundations are efficient, have unlimited potential, build necessary resources for the future, yet remain flexible to meet the ever-changing nature of a growing community.
