| Judge McBeth recently retired after serving as a King County District Court Judge for 24 years. He received his B.A. degree from Washington State University and his J.D. from the University of Washington. Judge McBeth is a past president of the Washington State District and Municipal Court Judges' Association, and was named Judge of the Year by the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association in 1997. He is a member of the faculty of the National Judicial College, teaching judges from around the country on issues of search and siezure and judicial ethics. Judge McBeth is a past-President of the Renton Rotary Club, served as Treasurer of that club for 12 years, and was named Rotarian of the Year in 1999 and 2004. Together with Dr. Robert Thompson, Valley Medical Center, he began the Renton Rotary RotaCare Free Medical Clinic in 2003 and was recently elected President of the RotaCare of Puget Sound which oversees the operation of RotaCare Free Clinics in Bellevue (Bellevue Rotary), Renton (Renton Rotary) and Lake City (Lake Forst Park City Rotary). He is the founder and previous Board Member of the Talbot Hill Elementary School Educational Trust Fund, and currently serves on the Board of the Salvation Army and as Board Chair for Renton Communities in Schools. Judge McBeth was honored as Citizen of the Year in 2007.
